What the program is

DOCK2BILL sends transactional text messages to truck drivers on behalf of the carrier they drive for, operated by EX EME LTDA, São Paulo, SP, Brazil. A message says which load is still missing a document — a proof of delivery or a bill of lading, for example — and carries a link where the driver takes a photo of it. There is no marketing in these messages, ever.

Who receives them, and how they agree

Only drivers whose carrier added their mobile number to DOCK2BILL. The carrier is the company the driver drives for, and it collects the driver’s consent:

  1. When a driver joins the carrier or is dispatched, the carrier asks whether they agree to receive texts about their loads. The driver agrees verbally or in writing.
  2. The carrier confirms that consent in DOCK2BILL. A mobile number is saved only when the carrier checks the box “This driver agreed to get texts about their loads.” — or, when it imports a file of loads, “The drivers in this file agreed to get texts about their loads.” Without the box, DOCK2BILL refuses the number.
  3. Every text names DOCK2BILL and ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.”

Our terms of service make that consent the carrier’s obligation, and the carrier must be able to show it. This is the screen where the carrier confirms it:

The DOCK2BILL "Add a driver" form, with the box "This driver agreed to get texts about their loads." checked.

How often

Message frequency varies with the loads a driver runs — usually no more than one message a day per load that is missing paperwork.

Stopping and help

  • Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You get one confirmation and nothing after that.
  • Reply HELP for help, or write to fabio@dock2bill.com.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
