Get paid everything you are owed.

Bill every load clean. Bill every hour at the dock.

Before you bill, every document the customer requires is checked: there, legible, the right load. At each stop the driver taps when he arrives and when he leaves, and the detention invoice builds itself from those times and your rate confirmation.

Checks every load’s paperwork before you bill it, and bills the detention the broker owes you — with the proof attached. · No card, no trial clock. You pay when a load bills clean.

Where the money gets left behind

  • The truck waited past free time, and nobody recorded when it got there.
  • Detention is on the rate confirmation, but putting the invoice together takes an hour, so it never goes out.
  • The packet goes out without the lumper receipt, and the broker pays less or sends it back.
  • The truck was cancelled at the dock, a TONU is owed, and it slips through because the load never delivered.

Carriers running five to thirty trucks that bill their own freight — or the dispatcher who does it for them.

How it works

Every load billed clean. Every hour at the dock billed.

  1. 1

    Import the loads

A CSV from whatever you use today. Keep your TMS — nothing else has to change.

  2. 2

    The driver taps and uploads

One text with a link for that load. He taps “I’m here” and “Leaving now” at each stop and photographs the paperwork. No app, no account.

  3. 3

    Checked before you bill

Missing, unreadable and wrong-load documents are caught before the packet goes out, against what each customer requires.

  4. 4

Bill the load and the wait

The billing packet, plus a detention or TONU invoice worked out from the times and your rate confirmation — proof attached, followed up if it goes unpaid.

Questions

When do I start paying?
When your first load bills clean — every document that customer requires is in, legible, and the packet is out the door. Until then there is nothing to pay and no card on file. Paperwork moves at the speed of your drivers, so a 14-day clock would run out before you had an answer either way.
How is the detention worked out?
From the times at each stop and the terms on the rate confirmation: free time per stop, the hourly rate and the cap if there is one, billed in 15-minute steps. With no hourly rate on file, no invoice goes out — a made-up rate is an invoice the broker refuses.
Who records the times?
The driver, from the same link he uses for photos: “I’m here” and “Leaving now”. The time comes from our server, not from his phone, and the first tap counts. The office can fill in a stop the driver missed.
My factoring company already gives me an app for paperwork.
Keep it. Those apps collect the paperwork your factor needs to advance the invoice. DOCK2BILL checks it against what each customer requires before anything goes out, and bills the detention and TONU that otherwise never get invoiced at all.
Do I have to replace my TMS?
No. You import a CSV, and packets and detention invoices come out; the system you use today keeps doing everything else. Truckbase and the other TMS products cover dispatch, invoicing and documents together, and they are worth it if you want to move everything.
Does it work if a dispatcher does my billing?
Yes — give them a login on your account. Dispatchers who bring carriers to DOCK2BILL also have a partner program of their own, at dock2bill.com/dispatchers.
Does it verify the signature?
No, and the packet says so in writing. It confirms that the documents arrived, that the reference matches, and that they are legible. Verifying a signature legally is not something a piece of software should claim.
